Apollo Institute of Critical Care Medicine, Chennai, is a Centre of Excellence and is one of the largest tertiary care referral units in the country. Our multidisciplinary Critical Care Unit has state-of-the-art technology and round-the-clock accessibility to specialists. The unit is managed by the highly qualified and experienced Critical Care Consultants Group (CCGC) headed by Dr. N. Ramakrishnan, Director, Critical Care Services.
The group provides standardised and high-quality care across all Apollo Hospital Units in Chennai. The volume and variety of patients, the expertise of reputed specialists and the dedicated teaching program have resulted in this department being the largest and most sought-after critical care training program in India. The Department is accredited by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for Superspecialty (DrNB) training in Critical Care and also by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) to offer its Diploma (IDCCM) and Fellowship (IFCCM) programs. In keeping with the tradition of Apollo Hospitals, the Department has trained several specialists in Critical Care Medicine who are now serving in various parts of India and also overseas.
With its continued journey towards excellence, Apollo Institute of Critical Care Medicine has clearly emerged as a leader in providing efficient, effective and empathetic care to critically ill patients. This year's program commemorates the 23rd year of association of the Critical Care Consultants Group (CCGC) at Apollo Hospitals.
